Some military terms did not have a way to say it into Comanche so they would make up codes for those words. The first message sent from the Normandy landings was sent in Comanche. These men who knew Comanche played a vital role in the rest of the war. They tried to discourage the language but they still used it and it helped them win the war.

Only a few boys knew how to talk in the Comanche code. These codes required serious training. Although Comanche was difficult to learn, some spoke it better than english. Comanche was a code that soldiers had to learn. For example, turtle was a code for a tank because of how slow it was. These soldiers played a vital role in the war. Without Comanche, there would be no such thing as code talkers. Today, there is a statue that represents the code talkers of WWll.

Comanche code talkers could already march and make their bed when they entered the army. They made up different words for things they didn't know. They called tanks turtles, and to them planes dropping bombs were like fish full of eggs. Comanche tribal language greatly helped during WW2.

There were only 17 code talkers. Many military terms did not have a Comanche word, so they made up a code within their language. These code talkers also had to run telephone lines etc. On June 6th, 1944, when Normandy was stormed, most of the orders by General Patton were most likely sent in Comanche.

Comanche code talkers were soldiers during WWII, and they were Native Americans that grew up in a military school. On June 6, 1944, they used their code to send a message from the beaches of Normandy. If the U.S. had succeeded in wiping out Native American culture and language, the code talkers would not have been there during the war and the outcome could have been much different.
