If your brain tells you to stop doing something you'll stop. The brain doesn't have receptors in a few spots in the brain. People get suicidal thoughts because a lot of stress. Some can be born with those type of "suicidal" brains.

Serotonin is one of the many chemicals that transmit impulses between neurons. People that have low serotonin levels tend to have suicidal thoughts. Low serotonin levels can also lead to OCD. Serotonin is one of many chemicals in the brain that transmit impulses, but it is the main one.

Serotonin is one of seven chemicals that transmit pulses between neurons. Having too much or too little can effect the brain. Serotonin is very different than neurotransmitters it does not have receptors in a few areas in the brain.

Some people don't know when to stop biting their lip or when they are biting their nails. This is the cause of a serotonin imbalance in the brain. People that have low serotonin production suffer from suicidal thoughts. Serotonin can also inhibit increased sexual behavior and testosterone levels.

I didn't know serotonin had so many functions and purposes in the brain. I found it interesting that an imbalance in serotonin could lead to so many different things happening. Serotonin imbalance could lead to OCD and even suicidal thoughts

Your brain is able to tell you to stop doing something or to keep doing somethimng. But that all depends on how much seretonin you have in your body. If you have too much or too little it could be bad for your health.

Something that I learned from this article was that serotonin is unlike other neurotransmitters. Serotonin may interact with testosterone. Also high doses of Ecstasy destroys serotonin nerve fibers.

I read that a part of your brain can tell you to do something or stop doing something. Also that suicide victims have fewer serotonin releasing neurons than the normal brain. Serotonin imbalance leads to OCD which is an anxiety related condition that cause repetitive behaviors.

the brain can send us direct messages to tell us something and it will alert the body when it does. for example if your biting your nails your body will send you a message telling you that you should stop and you can at will or not but the brain courage's you to stop when it tells. some drugs like ecstasy destroys serotonin nerve fibers. A less toxic form of MDMA might help those with illnesses like AIDS face death more calmly.

Serotonin is one of several chemicals that transmit impulses between nerve cells, or neurons. Having low levels can be dangerous. For an example; low serotonin producers suffer from suicidal thoughts during stress. OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), an anxiety-related condition that causes intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors such as hand-washing is caused by low serotonin levels. Not producing enough serotonin explains a lot of human behaviors such as alcohol abuse, panick attacks, and eating disorders.

People who take the illegal drug Ecstasy (MDMA) get a serotonin high. In high doses, ecstasy destroys serotonin nerve fiber. A less toxic form of MDMA might help those with illnesses like AIDS face death more calmly.
