Six ways to be more supportive to people closest to you are helping them around the house, being available to listen and give advice, show love and affection, helping them with decisions, and be trustful and loyal to your friend.

Emotions can influence our judgement and being angry is a reliable way to become less principled. Anger encourages the use of cognitive shortcuts (stereotypes), and adding disgust makes it even more destructive. Disgust has unique capacity to dehumanize outgroup members making it easier to engage in violence.
