President Roosevelt signed the lend-lease bill into law on 11 March 1941. It permitted him to "sell, transfer title to, exchange, lease, lend, or otherwise dispose of, to any such government [whose defense the President deems vital to the defense of the United States] any defense article."

England warned the US of their depression. The act was a cash and carry, whatever you could carry and if you had the cash you could have it. The Lend Lease Act was a strategy to help in the WWII without actually sending in troops.

The Lend Least Act lets America loan weapons to other countries that seemed vital to America. The act was a compromise where America could help with the war but they would not have to send soldiers to the front line.

FDR wanted to support England on a cash and carry business. He wanted to sell, lend, or rent hardware to other fellow alliances, but many believed this gave the president too much power. The lend-lease act wanted to do everything but put soldiers on the front lines.

An act between Britain and America. It allowed the U.S. to lend weapons to countries that were deemed vital to the security of the United States. It allowed America to fight in the war without actually putting troops on the ground. The U.S. does not actually join the war until December of 1941 when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.

The Lend Lease Act was between Great Britain and the US. Great Britain was running out of weapons and ammunition. FDR wanted to be allowed to send ammunition and weapons to American Allies. The Lend Lease Act gave FDR that power. Some people thought the president shouldn't have this much power and it would be getting them too involved with the War. The US wasn't going to enter the war until December 7, 1941 when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. And that's when the US entered the War.

Lend-Lease Act was between Great Britain and the U.S. FDR wanted the ability to lend or sell weapons to countries he felt should get them. Congress and the American Public did not completely like this idea. It was eventually signed, and also helped out China and the Soviet Union. The U.S. helped out around three dozen countries with the Lend-Lease Act.

FDR was allowed to lend lease or rent weapons etc to other countries in WWII. This let America be involved in the war without actually fighting, and officially the U.S. was neutral. This helped more countries than Great Britain, who it was intended for.
